Winner is… Photo Booth Giveaway | Fort Worth Wedding Photo Booths

At the beginning of the year we posted a photo booth contest giveway. We had a few brides submit their story to us and we’ve finally had a chance to go over the stories and select a winner.

Congratulations to Morgan and Devan!

Now here is the story of Morgan and Devan and how they became the future Mr. and Mrs.

Their story was submitted by Morgan.

In December 2008, I first met my current fiance, thought I wouldn’t have thought so at the time. I was a sophomore at TCU but was also working at a local apartment complex as a leasing agent in Fort Worth. It was my job to know our residents by name, so I never thought anything of it when I would recognize a familiar face coming in the door to pick up their mail or pay their rent. One of those residents being Devan- the resident in 1423. Throughout December, he frequented the front office picking up packages among other miscellaneous things. He was always quite awkward and didn’t talk much, but in my outgoing nature, I decided to be nice and ask him about his work- he had on a Best Buy uniform. We chatted about his job for a minute and that was it. A few days later, Devan was back picking up another package. Then he came back the next day to ask a question…then again the next day. Again, I didn’t think much of it.
On January 2nd 2009, Devan visited the office again to pick up a package. I was working alone that day and didn’t have time to talk so I just grabbed his mail and kept working. About 30 minutes later, I was busy with a customer and I saw “Best Buy” on the caller ID. The same number called about 6 times before I was finally able to answer. By this time I was quite annoyed as I was very  busy. It was Devan. He asked if he could have my email address. “Great,” I thought. “He’s going to spam with with mass amounts of Best Buy junk now.” Seconds later, I had an email from Devan, and that’s how we began chatting. We emailed for about a month before we ever exchanged phone numbers. From there, we finally began dating.
About 6 months into dating, Devan had mentioned how bad of a day he was having. So, for fun, I decided to take Devan to Downtown Fort Worth to the Water Gardens. Devan is originally from Boston, MA so he is not very familiar with the area. We went to the water gardens one night and ended up staying for hours just talking and walking around. Little did I know that this meant a lot more to him than he led on to….
Flash forward to January 2, 2012. This is our 3 year anniversary and we went to Simply Fondue in downtown Fort Worth, just like we have for each anniversary. After we finished eating, Devan wanted to walk around. Mind you, it’s freezing outside and I was wearing a short dress with  boots. I complained a bit, but finally relented. We ended up in the water gardens and I turned around to find Devan down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. AH! I was so stunned. Of course I said yes!!
I would have never imagined that just an acquaintance I met at work one day would later be my fiance and future husband. It’s crazy to think that the love of your life could be right in front of you and you wouldn’t even know it!!

Congrats again Morgan and Devan! We’re excited to be a part of your upcoming wedding next May.
